our new nest

hummingbird studio is honored to be one of eight anchor partners selected for the Daley Arts Center at the Olympia Armory, where we’ll make our home in the Armory’s upstairs south wing. Our space will include a studio, an office, and a small workroom and storage area. Once we move in, we’ll be able to expand our days and hours to offer more free opportunities for people to create, connect, and belong.

The creative campus is currently closed for Phase One of renovations as the City of Olympia completes important accessibility and safety improvements. We hope to land in our new nest at the Armory in Fall 2027...fingers crossed!

We also plan to open hummingbird café on the ground floor once we’re settled upstairs. This social enterprise will combine inclusive employment, hands-on job training, community connection, and the arts while helping sustain our studio’s free, inclusive programming.

In partnership with Olympia Coffee and Humble Cow Ice Cream, we’re excited to serve delicious coffee and treats to the community. hummingbird café will offer paid work experience and job training for people with disabilities and others who face barriers to employment, along with opportunities to build skills, confidence, and community.
